Shipping Responsibility

• Urban Modesty ensures delivery to the address provided.
• If an item is marked as delivered but is stolen or lost, it becomes the customer’s responsibility.
• We recommend using a secure shipping address.

Additional Information

• Order Cancellation: Orders cannot be canceled once placed.
• Weekend and Holiday Closures:
  • Processing and shipping times do not include weekends or holidays.
  • Fulfillment centers are closed on weekends and holidays.
  • UPS is closed on national holidays.

How to Initiate a Return or Exchange

• Use our return portal to initiate returns, exchanges, and report damaged items

• Important: Do not mail items back without using the portal, as they will not be processed.

Returns for Refund:

• You may request a refund within 14 days of receiving your order.

• A 10% restocking fee applies to cover return shipping costs. This fee applies to refunds only.

• Refunds are capped at $200 per order. Refund amounts exceeding $200 will be issued as a gift card.

Exchanges:

• Exchanges will be issued as a gift card, which you can use to purchase any item on the site.

• We will cover the restocking fee and shipping costs for sending items back to us.

• The gift card functions as a new order, meaning standard shipping fees and promotions (e.g., free shipping offers) will apply.

• Note: Items exchanged once cannot be exchanged again.

Damaged Items:

• If your item arrives damaged or becomes damaged after being worn, please report the issue promptly.
• Photos of the damage are required for assessment.
• If the damage is due to a defect, we will investigate and replace the item.

*Policy Exceptions:

• Tailored Items cannot be returned or exchanged
• Due to hygienic reasons, all hijabs, scarves, swimsuits, and salah outfits are final sale.  No refunds or exchanges.
• Clearance and Final Sale items are final sale. No refunds or exchanges.
• Gowns are final sale. No refunds or exchanges.
• Worn Items: Items Must Be Unworn, Unwashed, with an included original hang tag attached.  Items must be folded in the original packaging as the item was shipped to the customer.  Items need to be resealable.
• One refund or exchange is allowed per order
• Once placed, orders cannot be cancelled

Pre-Shipment USPS Shipping  Tracking Status:

If you placed an order and have a tracking number, but the tracking status states "Pre-Shipment" for over a week, your item is either pre-ordered/backordered (check the product page) or out of stock.  We contact all customers about out-of-stock items, but sometimes we are not able to reach them.
